Sorry for the late response.I am using aPC i7 processor with 24G ram and a sata SSD and get delays with a 10 year old version of NIK with the files from my d850. The straight stick d850 files open up at over 120MB.I have a MAC with the same vintage i7 processor and 16G with HDD and it also has delays. For a future proof computer that can handle 100MP images I would want a late gen i7 or i9 processor with a PCIe m.2 technology storage devise, a graphics card with 4-8 G RAM and consider 64-128 G DDR4 RAM. Once you start adding layers to d850 images/files its all over. If you stack images or do panoramas you need the speed. The files are only going to get larger. You cant do much heavy lifting with most lap tops.I might buy the new NIK just for the silver efex. Good luck.
